BANGKOK: THE MET ROOM

METROPOLITAN BANGKOK

BANGKOK - Love, love, LOVE the Metropolitan Bangkok’s Met rooms:  super spacious and modern, with soothing earth tones; big comfy beds (and lovely sheets to go with), huge bathrooms (shower, tub and silky smooth robes) and a full-on entertainment system (to watch all those pirated discs you ‘didn’t buy’).  The rest of the hotel – service, pool (which annoyingly, is located just below a terrace of ogling diners), the supposedly exclusive Met Bar, and the overly hyped Cy’an restaurant (yes, with the ogling diners), left me kinda unimpressed.  The rooms though, do it for me – always my ‘little’ oasis amongst the chaos that is Bangkok.  27 South Sathorn Road, Tungmahamek, Sathorn, Tel: +66 (2) 625 3333.  www.metropolitan.bangkok.como.bz
